Description
Interns are split into three different teams; Team 1, Team 2, Team 3, Team 4, Team 5 and Team 6. Each team has a set of specific tasks. New interns will be assigned to a team depending on capacity. Interns will rotate between each team according to rotation periods.
The following details are for each, individual intern and not the entire department.

Time Allotment
All teams work for 10 hours per week.
Team 1
- 1.5 hours – webinar training
- 1 hour – weekly department meeting
- 1 hour – weekly department project
- 30 minutes – reading company charter and understanding the culture
- 2 hours – create letters for prospects
- 3 hours – print and mail letters to prospects
- 30 minutes – review and update prospect status in R&D prospect tracker
- 30 minutes per week – miscellaneous tasks
Team 2
- 1.5 hours – webinar training
- 1 hour – weekly department meeting
- 1 hour – weekly department project
- 30 minutes – reading company charter and understanding the culture
- 5 hours – follow up with prospects and offer surveys
- 30 minutes – schedule survey with prospects
- 30 minutes per week – miscellaneous tasks
Team 3
- 1.5 hours – webinar training
- 1 hour – weekly department meeting
- 1 hour – weekly department project
- 30 minutes – reading company charter and understanding the culture
- 3 hours – conduct survey with prospects
- 2.5 hours – document survey notes
- 30 minutes per week – miscellaneous tasks
Team 4
- 1.5 hours – webinar training
- 1 hour – weekly department meeting
- 1 hour – weekly department project
- 30 minutes – reading company charter and understanding the culture
- 5.5 hours – analyze survey notes from Team 3
- 30 minutes per week – miscellaneous tasks
Team 5
- 1.5 hours – webinar training
- 1 hour – weekly department meeting
- 1 hour – weekly department project
- 30 minutes – reading company charter and understanding the culture
- 1 hour – review documented survey notes from Team 3
- 1 hour – review the analysis from Team 4
- 3 hours – write and review survey report
- 30 minutes – send survey report to Team 6
- 30 minutes per week – miscellaneous tasks
Team 6
- 1.5 hours – webinar training
- 1 hour – weekly department meeting
- 1 hour – weekly department project
- 30 minutes – reading company charter and understanding the culture
- 30 minutes – schedule call or to review report with prospects
- 1.5 hour – review survey report from Team 5
- 2.5 hours – conduct call or meeting to review report with prospects
- 30 minutes – email copy of report to prospects
- 30 minutes – send prospect’s information to the Sales Department
- 30 minutes per week – miscellaneous tasks
Expected Outcomes
Team 1
- A vast amount of prospects are reached
- Prospects receives the letter in a reasonable time period
- Prospects obtain a better understand of our company and our works
Team 2
- Relationship between the company and the prospect begin to develop
Team 3
- Prospect’s needs and wants are heard and understood
Team 4
- Raw data are converted into meaningful indicators
- Prospects needs, obstacles and wants are identified
- Recommendations or solutions are found
Team 5
- Survey report summaries the problem
- Team 6 receives the survey report in a timely manner
Team 6
- Prospects understood the terms and conditions to his/her needs and wants.
Expected Results
Team 1
- 15 letters are created and mailed every week
Team 2
- Follow up with 15 prospects every week
- Schedule 3 survey with prospect every week
Team 3
- Conduct 3 survey with prospect
Team 4
- Analyze 3 survey notes every week
Team 5
- Create 1 survey report every week
Team 6
- Schedule and conduct 1 call or meeting to review report with prospect every week
Responsibilities
Team 1
- Learn and be familiar with the company’s intellectual property
- Ensure prospects receives letter in a reasonable time
- Proof read letter prior to mailing
- Maintain prospect status in R&D prospect tracker
- Learn how to write letters for prospects
Team 2
- Follow up with prospects in a timely manner
- Ensure that the survey time schedule is convenient for prospect
- Learn how to follow up and offer surveys to prospects
Team 3
- Find ways to bring needs and wants of the prospect to surface
- Ensure the notes are documented are concise
- Learn how to survey and clear minds
Team 4
- Analyze the data from Team 3 and explore to find solution
- Learn how to Analyze a set of raw data
Team 5
- Create, review and modify survey reports for prospects
- Ensure that survey reports contains all necessary information required for prospect
- Proof-read survey report prior to sending it to Team 6
- Learn how to write survey reports for prospects
Team 6
- Review survey report prior to actual call or meeting with prospect
- Maintain professionalism throughout the entire call or meeting with the prospect
- Obtain critical feedback from prospects
- Document any information necessary to improve products and services
- Learn how to facilitate a call or meeting

Compensation
This position is unpaid. It is possible to earn a commission when any product or service is sold that either you or a member of a team you manage helped to develop or sell. If you worked with other people to develop the product or sell it, the commission is split with those people. Earning a commission is not easy and should not be expected.
