Description
Interns are split into three different teams; Team 1, Team 2, and Team 3. Each team has a set of specific tasks. New interns will be assigned to a team depending on capacity. Interns will rotate between each team according to rotation periods.
The following details are for each, individual intern and not the entire department.
Rotation Period
5 weeks
Time Allotment
All teams work for 10 hours per week.
Team 1
- 1.5 hours – webinar training
- 1 hour – weekly department meeting
- 1 hour – track and analyze team performance
- 30 minutes – reading company charter and understanding the culture
- 3 hours – recruiting activities
- 1.5 hours – reviewing intern applications
- 30 minutes – responding to intern applicants
- 30 minutes – update applicant’s information on HRIS
- 30 minutes – miscellaneous tasks
Team 2
- 1.5 hours – webinar training

- 30 minutes – scheduling interview with intern applicants
- 3.5 hours – interviewing intern applicants
- 30 minutes – reviewing intern applicants

- 30 minutes – miscellaneous tasks
Team 3
- 1.5 hours – webinar training
- 1 hour – weekly department meeting
- 1 hour – track and analyze team performance
- 30 minutes – reading company charter and understanding the culture
- 30 minutes – schedule meeting with new interns
- 2 hours – setting up interns
- 30 minutes – responding inquiries from new interns
- 1.5 hours – training new interns
- 30 minutes – create, review and maintain policies, guidelines and related documents
- 30 minutes – update intern’s information on HRIS
- 30 minutes – miscellaneous tasks

- 1 orientation session is conducted every week with a new intern
Responsibilities
Team 1
- Marketing the company’s internship program to potential interns
- Generating internship applicants for the company to follow up on
- Explaining the internship to people
- Reviewing internship applicants
- Responding to all internship applicants
- Learn how to recruit and review applicants
- Learn how to write job descriptions
Team 2
- Scheduling interviews with internship applicants
- Participating in interviewing internship applicants
- Learn how to review and interview potential interns
- Learn how to write job descriptions
Team 3
- Setting up new interns to work for the company
- Orienting new interns with company policies and procedures for their positions
- Provide appropriate documents to new interns
- Provide company policies and guidelines to new interns
- Training new interns in using Google Apps
- Ensure all legal documents and agreements are signed by new interns
- Keeping track of the performance of interns
- Write and review policies and guidelines
- Review and update internship agreement documents
- Learn how to train new interns
- Learn how to write job descriptions

Compensation
This position is unpaid. It is possible to earn a commission when any product or service is sold that either you or a member of a team you manage helped to develop or sell. If you worked with other people to develop the product or sell it, the commission is split with those people. Earning a commission is unlikely since this position does not involve marketing or sales activities.
